stinkylips BIO

It was about '96 when Stinky started to rap in his natural accent and write rhymes about his life and experiences. This was largely due to hearing other forms of Rap such as The Brotherhood (U.K.) and the Homebrews compilation (Australia).

A few portable recording systems, keyboards and mics later, Stink started to take his hobby more seriously and completed an Audio Engineering course (after moving to Brisbane from Central QLD) in 2002. His diversity of styles is owed to his broad tastes in music with influences that span almost every genre.

"Stinkylipus Maximus" is an 8 track EP, which was produced entirely by Stinkylips.
It reeks of a different musical style and feel in relation to the current Australian hip
hop market.

Some tracks on "Stinkylipus Maximus" draw inspiration from various genres (reminiscent of production styles and sounds from the Roots Manuva "Run Come Save Me"album), while others retain a tried and true hip hop style and feel.

This EP has received airplay on JJJ's hip hop show as well as NimFM at Nimbin.
This title is distributed by Obese and is available through all good record stockists Australia-wide.
